Africa

Africa

To see the heavenliness of the Sahara
in its most majestic form
Morning
The sweeping land of Africa
The radiant colors
That will leave you speechless
The long
Golden
Glowing grass
The trees trunks
that have been
lightly scribbled
With a brown colored pencil
The grey lumps in the distance that are
Wildebeests
And
Warthogs
grazing
slowly chewing their cud
the faintest vision
of a pack of impalas running
Who have cleverly adapted
To have the skin like the grass’s
The luxurious
Black and white coats,
Of the wild zebra
Who prance around
Carelessly
And see the small water holes
With
Crocodiles,
Who show
nothing
But the top of their heads and backs
A lonesome hippo
Wallowing in the mud
An outcast.

but they cannot
see her
anymore. read more

someday we will all be
forgotten.
A lot of the things we do
will not matter.
I know, as I move along in life,
that I am getting closer to being
forgotten.
But I want to avoid oblivion.
I don’t want to be forgotten.
I want, I need, to matter. read more

Retaliation

On the streets of Saar
throats are hoarse
from the chanting,
and burning
from the tear gas,
released by
the police,
no remorse.

The crowd struggle for air, they are
a shoal of fish entangled in
a giant net, and laid on the deck of a boat. read more
